3 min read

Good morning, This is your sacred hour to draw near to Jesus before the world pulls you in. Open your heart. Breathe in His presence. Let this hour set the trajectory of your entire day — and your life — toward the Almighty.

ONE HOUR WITH JESUS

6:00 – 6:10 AM

Awakening & Gratitude

What to do: Kneel or sit in silence. Take three slow, deep breaths. Acknowledge God's presence. Thank Him for the gift of life, for another day to know Him, and for His relentless love.

Scripture

Psalm 118:24 (NLT) — "This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it."

Suggested Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for this new day — a gift I did not earn. I open my heart to You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Let everything I do today be for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

6:10 – 6:25 AM

Scripture Reading

What to do: Read today's passage slowly — twice. Let the words sink in. Underline or journal verses that stir your heart. Ask: "Lord, what are You saying to me through this?"

Scripture

Psalm 5:3 (NLT) — "Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly."

Suggested Prayer

Lord, open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your law. Let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Speak to me through Scripture today. I am listening.

6:25 – 6:40 AM

Meditative Prayer (Lectio Divina)

What to do: Choose one verse from your reading. Repeat it silently for several minutes. Don't rush — rest in it. Listen for God's whisper. Let the verse become a prayer rising from your soul.

Scripture

Psalm 46:10 (NLT) — "Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world."

Suggested Prayer

Jesus, I quiet my soul before You. I meditate on Your Word. I listen for Your voice. Draw me closer to Your heart. Let Your presence fill this moment and transform me from the inside out.

6:40 – 6:50 AM

Intercession

What to do: Pray for your family, friends, church, and those who don't yet know Jesus. Pray for the sick, the lonely, the brokenhearted. Lift up the nations and the lost.

Scripture

1 Timothy 2:1 (NLT) — "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them."

Suggested Prayer

Lord, I lift up my loved ones to You. Heal the sick. Comfort the brokenhearted. Save the lost. Use me as an instrument of Your peace. Let Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

6:50 – 7:00 AM

Commitment & Worship

What to do: Surrender your entire day to God. Commit to walking with Him moment by moment. Sing or listen to a worship song. Close with the Lord's Prayer.

Scripture

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) — "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take."

Suggested Prayer

Father, I surrender this day to You. Guide my steps, guard my heart, and use me for Your glory. I trust You with everything. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Go forth today in the power of His love. You are a child of the Most High God — walk in that identity. The Almighty goes before you.
